Amendments of SOLAS concerning lifejackets

Amendments to Chapter II of the LSA Code and Chapter III of SOLAS concerning lifejackets have been adopted by the IMO through resolutions MSC.207(81) and MSC 201(81) respectively. The amendments, effective from 1st July 2010, concern new requirements for the approval and the additional carriage of lifejackets. In view of the above, the attached table has been developed in order to provide better understanding for the implementation of these requirements. Please be informed that among other requirements, SMS and SOLAS training manuals must be appropriately amended to reflect these new requirements.   Download attached table < Prev   Next >
